I am writing today to let you know that unfortunately, your firefighters had to file for binding arbitration with the Town’s administration. This is a serious step that we have not had to use in decades, and it occurred because our contract negotiations broke down.

| Bravest Announce New Charitable Foundation |
The Fairfield Fire Fighters Association is proud to announce the formation of our new charitable foundation. The Fairfield Fire Fighters Charitable Foundation is a registered Non-Profit with the state of Connecticut with 501c3 status pending. The FFFCF was formed to help us expand our ability to raise funds for our many worthy charities.

Three of Fairfield’s Bravest recently made an appearance on the popular Firehouse Friday cooking segment on Ct Style on WTNH channel 8 in New Haven. FF’s Bob Smith and Jon Catandella along with Lt. The members of Local 1426 celebrated their 50th Anniversary in style on Saturday night April 28th 2012 in Fairfield at the Patterson Club. Around 125 current and retired members and some close friends put their best dressed foot forward to help celebrate the forming of Local 1426 in April of 1962.
