On Monday July 26th the Fairfield RTM voted almost completly along party lines and rejected the Tentative Agreement reached between the Union and the Town. The vote appeared to be an organized effort by the majority Republican party to use party politics to send a purely political message to the minority Democrats.

"Seems like some coincidence that all 22 No votes were Republican." said Local 1426 President Bob Smith when reached for comment.

The following is a list of the RTM members who voted to support party politics and NOT Fairfield's Bravest. Party affiliation and district number follow each name:
